Staffshare
As councils move through the recovery phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Staffshare initiative supports the retention of key capability within the sector. Operating like a ‘buy and sell’ initiative, councils can advertise when they have temporary skills to share, or can request interest when they need additional skills to meet a specific temporary need.
The initiative recognises the importance of the sector working together to meet the needs of councils and their communities in these extraordinary times. This initiative is for temporary sharing of staff. Terms and arrangements for managing the sharing of staff will be agreed between the individual councils, for example through a secondment agreement.
