Community wellbeings
The Local Government (Community Well-being) Amendment Act has resulted in a change in the purpose of local government, which is to promote community wellbeing. This means that we, as local authorities, are responsible for improving the social, economic, environmental and cultural wellbeing of our communities.
The Taituarā Community Wellbeing Service has been developed to support you and your council to improve the wellbeing outcomes of your community.
The Service includes a data warehouse containing indicators of the wellbeing of your community, along with guidance on how to meaningfully engage with your community.
